The project will increase the knowledge of 70 battery charging stations to enable them to improve their business. Both improved technical skills and basic business skills such as simple accounting skills will be part of an interactive training program developed specifically on the level of the battery charging stations operators. The general objective of this project is to build capacity of TaTEDO staff and her partners in providing technical and business support to energy entrepreneurs. Specifically the project aims at the following.
(1) Coach TaTEDO staff on business coaching so that the team can continuously conduct coaching to energy entrepreneurs participating in TaTEDO’s projects.
(2) Improve TaTEDO’s capacity in information collection, processing, packaging and sharing so that the experiences and lessons through this programme will be used by other energy entrepreneurs to develop their business.
The third annual plan of the EASE program has been finalized in November 2008. The program has funding available for innovation projects and capacity building in the fields of:
Access: development of sustainable rural energy market channels;
Control: design rural energy markets based on the realities, needs and power of the end-user and the local market players;
