027 Increasing Access to Energy in Uganda – Inception Phase

Currently, VEDCO has the experience in market development for agro-based products but lacks the experience to develop strategies for increased energy access in the communities. This requires toolkits that can only be formulated after collecting end user and local actor feedback. It is important however to expect that these toolkits may also differ from one community to another.

011 Energy Entrepreneur ‘caravan’

This project has been developed by ENDA following the experiences gained through the AREED program (African Rural Energy Entreprise Development) and the ENEFIBIO approach which consisted of identifying and removing barriers to technological developments in bio-energy enterprises. This project focuses on identifying entrepreneurship in the energy sector in Senegal. It builds on the previous experience of ENDA in the area of promotion of energy as a factor for local development. ENDA has a specific focus on productive uses of energy, because in this way large impact can be achieved in terms of local economic development and poverty reduction.

017 Opportunities for introduction of improved fixed stoves in Dogon area in Mali

The objective of this project was to come to an action plan to introduce at least 500 improved fixed cookstoves in the Dogon country in Mali in the first year, and between 2000 – 3000 afterwards. The action plan includes an identification of actors who can play a leading role in the dissemination of the product, that is independent actors who can take the initiative.
