Project description
In Bolivia, besides large energy utilities serving the major cities, covering perhaps 70% of all users of the national electricity system, there are small, decentralized companies serving intermediate cities and small towns, and they have a around thousand customers.
However, there is yet another category of micro-enterprises providing energy services to rural populations which [...]
004 Support for three PCASER operators (2nd phase)

EASE-Mali ETC program, coordinated locally by the Mali-Folkecenter, gives assistance to PCASER operators, to resolve technical and administrative challenges, as well as promote education and awareness of the rural population. It is important to continue this intervention, and assist entrepreneurs in developing their activities and improve the understanding, the software tool and photographic profiling of activities.
The project will develop support tools for energy entrepreneurs so that they provide support to other operators, as well as use on site. The specific objective remains the direct or indirect replication activities of theses companies to be a reference in the intervention area or other areas already electrified.
026 Support to PCASER mini-grid operators (phase 3)

This project is the third phase to support the rural electrification projects supported by AMADER under the PCASER program. Experience in previous projects has shown that it is very difficult to promote replication or spin-off activities. The focus of this project is therefore on feasibility studies for the densification / extension of existing networks. Support for less succesful PCASER operators focusses on the exchange between technicians and administrators and the organization of promotional activities with the main objective of attracting new customers and promote the education of existing customers (security, entrepreneurial opportunities, etc.) in cooperation with a marketing and communication agency.
